Fujifilm and Disney cooperate to produce rare and special X100V

Fujifilm and Disney Entertainment have teamed up to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Disney’s founding in October 1923. To celebrate this special occasion, the camera manufacturer has released an extremely rare version of the camera. X100V premium compact camera.

Same, but different

This camera is technically the same as a camera recent review X100V except for a few changes, making it a collector’s only piece. The first and most obvious difference is the faux leather wrap around the body featuring traditional characters like Donald Duck, Goofy and, of course, Mickey Mouse. The metal parts of the body are bright silver, which helps the camera stand out from the crowd. The top plate is decorated with a unique serial number, as only 100 were produced.

Unique accessories

The box itself will be a uniquely crafted piece of wood that contains drawers and separate compartments for a set of custom-made “Disney 100” logo embellished accessories such as a white canvas strap, holster and metal thumb holder.

Not the first time

This isn’t the first time Disney has teamed up with a camera maker to celebrate its centenary. Earlier this year, Leica released a special edition of the Q2 just a few months before its release Q3. Who knows, maybe a sixth-generation X100 is coming.

Unfortunately for those interested, the X100V special edition will only go on sale in Hong Kong as the tight supply persists. The price will be slightly higher than $1,900.
