Peakto integrates Pixelmator Pro, with DXO links on the way

i gave a favorable rating ARRIVE peak a couple of weeks ago, and one thing I noticed is that they update frequently, which is a positive thing in my opinion. Bug fixes and new features are regular. Today they delivered an update to Peakto that includes integration with Professional Pixelmator, a popular photo editor. Please note that Peakto is a Mac-only application.

Think of Peakto as some sort of steroid portfolio. It can read categories from several photo apps, including Apple Photos, Aperture, Lightroom Classic, Luminar AI/Neo, Capture One, iView Media, and from your photo folders, without creating additional copies. Your picture. Then you have a central catalog with all your work available.

Now, by adding integration with Pixelmator Pro, Peakto natively enumerates all Pixelmator Pro (PXD) documents and renders them in the highest resolution possible. Peakto makes Pixelmator Pro the editing destination for all your Pixelmator Pro photos along with all your other photos.

So in addition to those Pixelmator Pro (PXD) files, you also have access to raw, JPEG, PNG, PSD, and TIFF.

Peakto has some AI built in, so it will identify landscape, portrait, wildlife or food photos and classify them automatically. No need to tag your photos. I think the AI works pretty well, although it’s not 100%. I hope it gets better over time, but even the current version can really speed up my photo finding. Without using AI, I could search by location, camera, even ISO setting.

Additionally, sometime in mid-April, Peakto will offer integration with DXO products. That seems like a big deal to me, since I’m a dedicated DXO PureRAW user and the software is attracting a lot of photographers who want to pre-process their raw files and edit them with a click.

Peakto will assist DXO Photo Lab And PureRAW through the software’s Editing Workspaces option. Peakto will let you find all the DXO edited images in your watched folders and will display the previews correctly. In addition, .dop sidecars are processed as images, and Peakto keeps track of all the changes you make using DXO on cataloged images, making them easy and convenient to access. to all DXO edited images inside Peakto.

This future version will allow you to drag and drop any image into the DXO workspace.

All in all, the Pixelmator Pro integration will please many users of that product, and the upcoming DXO integration will also be interesting. I can’t wait to try it.

Peakto is available directly from company or in Apple Mac App Store.

There’s a 15-day free trial, and after that, Peakto is $9.99 a month per seat, $99 a year per seat, or $189 as a one-time payment.
