New details regarding gameplay and release date of Fuga: Tone of Steel 2 appeared before the official CyberConnect2 broadcast. Fuga: Tone of Steel 2 is said to release sometime in 2023 for current and previous-generation Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as Nintendo Switch and PC. According to prominent Japanese tips expert ryokutya2089 through this week’s issue of Famitsu, CyberConnect2 is reported to have completed 60% of the game’s development. The next part will take place after a year Fuga: Melodies of Steelreal ending. As such, those who have completed the first game and still have saved data will have access to the special content. Additionally, CyberConnect2 revealed that the sequel’s story will have “double volume” and will continue to focus on Malt as the protagonist.
In terms of gameplay, CyberConnect2 revealed that there will be new weapons for you to choose from. Turbo mode, which speeds up the travel of the route, will be available at launch. Players will also have access to significantly improved balloon technology. This will allow players to not only use them for support, but also absorb enemies and replenish their supplies.
Notably, CyberConnect2 also states that the sequel will feature a “judgement system” where player choices will affect the outcome of the story. This system of judgment will also affect the interactions and relationships between the characters.
