In this beautiful update, the classic pale blue moon phase display balances nicely with a very modern open Heart Beat aperture to reveal a piece of the movement – a long-standing signature of Frederique Constant.
This pleasing symmetry is just one of the many joys that Frederique Constant reliably brings (and affordable) with this refreshed design, which the Geneva-based manufacturer has for the last time. first debuted with a lighter dial eight years ago.
The 40mm steel watch allows the wearer to read the current moon phase, time, and date while also peering into a portion of the balance wheel in the Heart Beat aperture at 28,800 oscillations per hour. On display is the watch’s Sellita-based automatic FC-335 movement, which is also visible through the sapphire case back.

To maintain visual balance, clock there is no third aperture to display the date. Instead, the fourth hand, with the arrowhead pointing towards the date, is displayed in a circle on the flange.
The chronograph, hours, minutes, date and moon phases are all adjusted using the watch’s single crown. Its four positions allow full control of the screens. The first position regulates the movement, while the fourth position regulates the time. In a display of surprisingly technical mastery, the wearer can change the date in second and the moon phase in third, as long as the hand is in the first place at 10:10. This protects the mechanism from damage.
As is usual with Frederique Constant Classic models, the dial here is decorated with guilloche Clou de Paris.
