Fort Erie . Racetrack announced that the race for October 18 was canceled due to poor track and weather conditions. Today is the final scheduled date of the race for the 2022 season.
To ensure the safety of riders and horses, the 10th race in the October 17 card was canceled due to deteriorating track conditions due to heavy rain and hail. Persistent rain throughout the night of October 17 and early morning of October 18 made racing unsafe.
Pending regulatory approval, Fort Erie Speedway is working to reschedule the canceled races for October 24 or 25 and will make an announcement when the date is confirmed.
