Ford confirms Ranger Raptor 2024 launch on Wednesday

Ford will launch in the US market in 2024 forest ranger and Ranger Raptor pickup on Wednesday, May 10, the company officially announced on Saturday. This will mark the birth of the updated model (launched everywhere but here for the 2023 model year) for the U.S. market and offer the high-performance Ranger Raptor on American soil in any form for the first time.

Thanks to the delayed US launch, we already know most of the details about Ford’s redesigned midsize pickup. While two diesel engine available overseas, the only engine we expect to see here in the facility truck is the existing 2.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine. Of course, the Raptor is an entirely different beast, and we expect its twin-turbo V6 to produce enough power to at least be on par with Hennessey’s 360-horsepower Ranger VelociRaptor, otherwise dust it completely. Overseas, it produces only 284 hp and 362 lb-ft of torque. One just glances at 418 hp Bronco raptor to understand how unlikely that power number is for the US market, especially now that F-150 Raptor gets upgraded V8 . engine.

We won’t have to wait long to find out the details. Check back here on Wednesday for the full list.
