A TikTok account @promosiprotonperodua uploaded a video that appears to be a page from the documentation of the upcoming 2023 Perodua Axia D74A expected to launch this year.
The document has a table listing four variants for the D74A – 1000 G CVT, 1000 X CVT, 1000 SE CVT and 1000 AV CVT. All have the CVT suffix, which means that the new Perodua Axia will no longer be offered with a manual transmission, at least at the time of launch.
The second panel below the variation table has a list of colors on offer – Ivory White, Metallic Sparkle Silver, Granite Gray Metallic, Lava Red Metallic and a new color – Metallic Coral Blue. The current blue offered on Myvi is another blue called Electric Blue Metallic.
The Current 2019 Perodua Axia offered as six variants, starting with the Manual 1.0 E priced at RM23,367 all the way up to the Perodua Axia 1.0 AV AT priced at RM41,427. That’s a pretty wide price range. Does discontinuing the manual model mean a higher starting price of the Axia?
Another unique model in the current range is the Style 1.0 ATgives the Axia a soft, sure-footed look for those who like an out-of-the-ordinary look.
Axia has siblings in Indonesia known as Toyota Ayga and Daihatsu Ayla. There are strong rumors that the Indonesian cars will go the turbocharged route, with the expected launch date for the Indonesian cars rumored to be in March 2023. The Perodua Axia also has a turbo engine?
