Only a few hours left Fate / Grand Order end Happy New Year, soon it’s time to celebrate the next big holiday in line: Valentine’s Day. The Fate / Grand Order The Valentine’s Day 2022 event will begin on February 1, 2022, as per the above update Official website.
The official title of the event is An Unusual Valentine – Murasaki Shikibu and the Five Murder Queens. The world’s first novelist returns from 2021 FGO Valentine’s Day event, but the date itself seems to have changed. Instead of celebrating receiving chocolate, the event turned into a festival that punished those who didn’t receive chocolate at all. The player will team up with a new Servant, the Archer-class Sei Shounagon, to investigate. Sei Shounagon is this year’s limited edition rare Servant, and is based on the 10th-century Japanese author of the same name. Sei Shounagon happens to be a contemporary and long-time rival of Murasaki Shikibu himself, and writes Pillow Bookan account of daily life in the court of the Heian period.

Structurally, Fate / Grand Order The event of Valentine’s Day 2022 is quite simple. Players will experience the story through scheduled unlocking main quests during the first week of the event. Between those timeslots, they’ll play repeatable quests to earn “Sparks” and the event currency. Sparkling Points unlock a progressive reward ladder, while currency can be exchanged for gifts at the event shop. Players can also earn chocolates to unlock special Valentine’s Day cutscenes. These cutscenes involve a Servant giving or receiving chocolates on Valentine’s Day and feature full voice acting.
Players with Saint Quartz to spare can join Sei Shounagon on the premium summon banner. The banners, which will change daily, will also increase decrease rate for various female Servants, including Altera, Altria Pendragon, Queen Medb, Francis Drake and Quetzalcoatl.
