Fast food shortage: Girl who relies on french fries to live gets special delivery
One family said they were overwhelmed by the public’s help after sharing a story of their daughter’s dependence on a variety of crisps.
Ava has several conditions, including avoidant or restrictive eating disorder (ARFID) and one that affects her development.
Walkers oven-baked sea salt crisps a staple of a four-year-old’s diet but they are currently in limited supply.
The family from Narborough, Leicestershire, spent hours hunting for crisps amid a national shortage as it was one of the only things Ava could eat.
Ava’s mother Michelle said: “I think we received about 450 packages and we were able to send them to other families looking for these crisps.”
