Fantasy RB Leaderboard Week 14: Who to start, where to sit to run back in fantasy football

It’s win or second leg time for many fantasy football owners, but no matter what you’re playing this week (seeding, a knockout, avoiding last place, confidence). proud), the running backward position is likely to cause most of the starting ‘them, sitting’ them headaches. Our Week 14 fantasy RB rankings can help, but with all the trauma and at least one goodbye, finding a safe starter and worthwhile sleeper won’t be easy.

The “goodbye” we’re talking about is the top RB of fantasy, Jonathan Taylor. He’ll be on the field this week alongside Myles Gaskin, New England duo Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson, and a tumultuous Philadelphia committee. All in all, it hasn’t been a bad week for RB, but it’s never the right time to lose a guy like Taylor, especially if you need to survive and thrive.

WEEK 14 STANDARD RANKING:
Midfielder | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker

Injury wise, there are many stated or “questionable” RBs. For now, we expect to include Alvin Kamara (knee), Melvin Gordon (hip) and Darrell Henderson (quad), who were essentially absent last week, but we’ll be ready to adjust necessary. Dalvin Cook (as) and D’Andre Swift (as) will be absent for at least another week, but we’ll be open to adding those players if we get some unexpected good news over the weekend.

WEEK 14 PPR RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | VND / ST | Kicker

Gordon is especially important this week because he has a high-profile game against the Lions. If he returns, both he and Javonte Williams will be solid starters. They are not the only committee in good standing this week; however, they may be the only person you feel comfortable trusting. David Johnson and Rex Burkhead’s Houston (compared to the Seahawks), Seattle’s crowded backyard is spearheaded by a mix of Adrian Peterson, Rashaad Penny and Alex Collins (@Texans), and duo D’Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard of Tennessee (vs. Leopards) also had great matches. It’s hard to know which players from those backstages should be trusted, but given the matches, the numbers for Johnson, Burkhead, Foreman and Hilliard should at least be flexible. If Collins does return, it’s impossible to know which Seahawks return will be the top pick, but Peterson could be the best pick for short-term TD.

Because most very favorable matches go to these committees, there are plenty of other usual starters in difficult situations. You won’t be benching Joe Mixon (vs 49ers), Leonard Fournette (vs Bills) or James Robinson (@ Titans) – although he needs to stop fumbling and being bullied really team – and you probably won’t even sit Devonta Freeman (@ Browns), James Conner (vs Rams) even though Chase Edmonds (ankle) is back. However, some others are a little more borderline. Tevin Coleman (vs. Saints), Henderson (@ Cardinals) and Kareem Hunt (vs. Ravens) fall into that category, but Coleman is likely the only one who will be seated by a large number of imaginary owners. Buffalo duo Devin Singletary and Matt Breida (@Buccaneers) should also be on most of the bench.

However, there are some other sleepers, if you need to replace the backs above. Mark Ingram (@Jets) should be able to pay off even if Kamara returns (and he will have to start if Kamara is absent) and Chuba Hubbard (vs Falcons) also look fine this week, although we I’m a bit worried about the role of Ameer Abdullah.

We’re at the point of the season where teams that aren’t in contention can have RBs to spare with little warning and playoff-bound teams can easily start back up before the more important games. There’s only so much we can do to prepare for that, so looking at usage trends and playing matches – keeping an eye on all injuries, of course – is the way to go, even when it means making some tough squad decisions.

Note: We’ll be updating these RB leaderboards throughout the week, so check back for the latest player analysis and movements.
