Receiving refresher quests is a truly unique experience. It is an opportunity for individuals to become temporary dog owners (pet parents), give them love and care, and then move the pet back to their permanent home. Nicki Clawson fell in love with Cookie, the dog she raised Rescue the Northwest martial artist. Cookie must arrive at his final home at some point.

Nicki held the dog and with wet eyes waited for the family to show up at the gathering place. It’s always a sad moment when foster people leave their shelters. She did not know she had been arranged by the rescue organization to do so.

She received a file with the adoptive family’s phone number inside it. Nicki was deeply moved as she sat on the sidewalk next to Cookie, about to make a call. Tears began to fall when Nicki understood what was happening. Because he loved her so much, Nicki received the dog from the rescue organization.
