A grizzly bear lying face down in an above ground swimming pool is not something you see every day. So it’s no surprise that a cute clip of brown bear Bruiser jumping into his private pool went viral. People love to see Bruiser enjoy swimming.
Not only is it amusing to see such a big brown bear belly, but by nature bears love water and often wade into the river to catch some salmon.
Bruiser is a rescued grizzly bear Who live with many other bears at Single look nature conservation arank wildlife education convenientcity in Melrose, Florida. Two of his favorite hobbies are tearing up boxes and cooling off by swimming in the property’s aboveground pool.
Despite their large bodies and thick fur, brown bears are excellent swimmers. Interestingly, their high fat content and greasy coat help them float on water.
Bruiser’s humorous antics made the reserve’s staff laugh, giving them a lot of fun. So naturally, they want to share it with others. After they shared some footage to their Facebook page, it almost immediately went viral.
In the cute clip, Bruiser quickly climbs the steps of the above-ground pool and doesn’t hesitate for a second before spreading his arms and dropping himself into the refreshing water. When he emerged, he shivered a little and crossed the pool. Then the cameraman pans to the left, and you can see the rescue bear Honey wandering nearby.
Bruiser then approached the camera and clung to the pool wall before looking directly into the lens for a close-up shot. The first time he was very happy; he literally jumped out of the pool, rocking and saying hello to the camera before running back up the ladder and collapsing back into the pool.
It was almost exactly the same as the last time, but the second time he didn’t sink completely but instead, started pushing a floating surfboard around the pool. It’s clear he’s having an absolutely amazing time. It really looks like he’s smiling while swimming and playing. Never mind the grin he gives the camera. This grizzly really knows how to have fun!
