Fallout 76 actors have formed a theater and performance company Macbeth
I recently completed the novel Station Eleven, set in the wake of a global flu pandemic, where a troupe traveling to post-apocalyptic America performs Shakespeare’s plays. Yep, picked a great time reading that book. But I’m glad to know that a group Fallout 76 the cast members formed a cast to perform plays in Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic MMO and recently staged Macbeth inside their own version of the Globe.
Here’s The Theater Company’s Macbeth captured for Twitch by Fallout Five-0:
“During Covid-19, movie theaters around the world were closed, so our group of TV series-loving video game players took to the in-game stage, held rehearsals and performances live for in-game and streaming audiences,” “Northern Harvest” director Macbeth told our corporate brothers and sisters at European Gamblers.
“This also adds commentary on how art survives in times of crisis: whether in post-apocalyptic Appalachia, or during the Covid-19 pandemic in real life. Art finds a way to survive. .”
I also appreciate this behind-the-scenes look:
Here’s what it looked like backstage during Macbeth’s live stage performance.
The actors changed their wardrobes, listened to the signal, and prepared to go on stage.

Thinking of other post-apocalyptic plays, I also like Russel Hoban’s novel Ridley Walker, where the post-apocalyptic young man of the same name Kent performs a sacred puppet show that mixes the legend of Saint Eustace with events of the Cold War. Good book, that.
Elsewhere on German TV, I know “Rustic Mascara” was having trouble this year trying to perform Hamlet in a GTA Online public lobby:
If you are interested in the performance art in the game, you can find out Joseph DeLappe, who has organized rallies and more on public multiplayer servers. His Quake / Friends saw six people working on the FRIENDS script in Quake 3. And in dead-in-iraq, he visited the US Army servers to list the deaths of US service members in Iraq.
Monitor The Theater Company on Twitter to know more about future performances. Going forward, they are planning The Nutcracker, probably for Christmas:
