That’s right, Fall Guys will be free for everyone and cross-play starting June 21, with the new PS5 version enhancing the stumbling action.
But before we dive deeper into what’s new, let’s take a look back at where we started… Can you believe we launched Fall Guys in August 2020? A lot has happened in those two years, including some great collaborations and big game-changing updates. I think Squad Mode is the game’s single biggest improvement to date — it’s like a whole new way to play with a team without having to constantly drop out because someone on the team develops it. eliminated in Round 1 (not going to name any here). What a great feeling it is to share the joy of winning with all your friends watching along!
Fall Guys’ one year anniversary is a truly special moment. It’s been an incredible honor to get people interested in our silly obstacle course in the first place, but to have a dedicated, passionate community celebrating a year of achievement in Fall Guys is another thing entirely. Development was never smooth, but I’m incredibly proud of how the team has maintained and improved the game since launch.

Well, anything new?
How long do you have? We have so many new features, obstacles, Spins and more added to Fall Guys in this New Season.
The new addition to my personal favorite game is definitely Blast Balls! As the design team, we’re looking for new ways to do Final Rounds that give players more autonomy to chase after each other and do some clever strategic play. Blast Balls achieves that while staying true to the core of Fall Guys — they’re funny, physics-based, and perfect for creating remarkable clips.
We also have some amazing new Rings being added, one being the Hex-a-Ring. It’s basically a version of Hex-a-Gone being played on a spinning tube, you have to keep moving through the layers of tiles while not falling off the spinning floor. and Don’t fall slime! I’d be lying if I said many of our teams did well in this Round, but I can’t wait to see the community highlights when they come to play.
With some completely wild collaborations in the pipeline, we really can’t wait for people to find out for themselves and try it out! For more news and introductions to upcoming collaborations, follow our social channels.
I can’t appreciate ALL of the new features in the upcoming season but I’m excited to let you know some of the great technical features of the upcoming PS5.
Now let’s see the technical details
We’re really excited to bring some of the great Fall Guys features to PS5 players.
First off, we’re really excited to say that we’ll be using enhanced physics and native 4K content processing, which means… Fall Guys will hit 60FPS at 4k on PS5 starting June 21. was a big deal for us — just imagine every colorful outfit coming out in 4k — amazing!
Our Tonicteam has been trying out some cool stuff with the DualSense wireless controller haptics to add to the game. Dan Parkes (one of our sound engineers) added this lovely feature where the controller starts vibrating as you get closer to the Crown. It’s subtle but it really adds to the tension once you get to the last few meters of Fall Mountain and Lost Temple.
We’re also working on a Direct Access feature for Fall Guys on PS5, which essentially ties certain parts of the Fall Guys menu to quick actions. This means you’ll be able to jump straight to the Main Show, Duos, Trios, and Squad modes from the launch menu. But don’t worry. You won’t start falling into a relationship until you’ve confirmed that you want to be in a matchmaking relationship.
Lots of rewards
To thank all of our amazing Fall Guys players, anyone who downloaded and played Fall Guys before June 21 will be eligible for some iconic rewards. We don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but little Pegwin told me it included a certain vegetarian dog and Fiesty Dwarf’s Outfit…
