EV and PHEV rental rates, Tesla FSD hikes, Fisker Ocean manufactured, BYD in Europe: Car News Today
Tesla has raised the price of fully self-driving cars. Fisker is looking for more production space for his Ocean. BYD is making its way into Europe on its own — and presumably targeting Tesla battery packs. And the revision of the EV tax credit has caused a sharp increase in EV and PHEV rental prices. Recently, EV and PHEV rental prices have skyrocketed. That’s mainly because a wide range of models are no longer eligible for the EV tax credit, and captive rental companies are passing some or all of that money on to consumers.
