Errol Spence Jr is constantly bombarded with questions surrounding the biggest rival of his professional career, Terence Crawford. But, just like when he had finished in the ring, Spence Jr evaded Crawford’s questions forever as if they were a dangerous right-hand man coming from his opponent.
With that, while many people grew impatient with the passive attitude of the Dallas product, he was simply trying to respect the man standing in front of him.
When a crowd of nearly 40,000 stood on their feet to cheer him on at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, both Spence Jr. and Yordenis Ugas waged an all-out war. People who are older and, at times, more physically dominant than Cubans, have enjoyed plenty of moments of success. Specifically, in the fourth game, Ugas landed his right arm short while gripping, losing the fusion champion’s mouth. In the awkward sequence of events that followed, Spence Jr immediately turned his attention to his unarmed guardian and would later pay the price for his flawed judgment. . Ugas unleashed the 32-year-old’s three-punch combo, the last of which sent him to the ropes.
Despite taking his eyes off the prize for a moment, Spence Jr will eventually regroup and defeat Ugas in the second half of their match. Despite his tenacity, Ugas was eventually told by a patient doctor that he would not be able to continue.
As what becomes the normal protocol after all boxing matches, there’s a common question for Spence Jr., what’s next? Without warning, with three welterweight titles now hanging proudly on his shoulders, Spence Jr has come up with the only name everyone in the arena wants to hear.
“Everybody knows who I want next,” Spence said. “I want Terence Crawford. That’s the fight I want. It’s the fight everyone else wants. ”
Crawford, of course, holds the final piece of the £147 puzzle. The native of Omaha, Nebraska, is generally considered the leader on almost every list. In November 2021, Crawford proved his ranking correct, as he went on to score in the 10th round against former two-time welterweight champion, Shawn Porter. After the victory, Crawford punished his opponent, as he repeatedly called him out. However, Spence Jr. ignore Crawford.
Several years ago, Spence Jr. revealed its original gaming plans. With three of the four welterweight titles being held by fighters linked to the Premier Boxing Champions, Spence Jr believes they should be targeted only first before turning his attention to Crawford.
Now that the unusually strong Southpaw had helped it wipe out, he was now placing a bull’s eye on Crawford’s back.
“Like I said, I’m going to go get these straps, then go over there and get his sh*t too. Terence, I’m coming for that mom’s f*cking belt! ”
