Errol Spence Jr. heard loud and clear conversations over the past few years.
While many believe the unified welterweight star is the best boxer in the league, an equal number of fans argue that Terence Crawford, indeed, holds that distinction.
With both 147-pound fighters vying for the top spot, Spence Jr remains optimistic that they will eventually share the ring in the near future to settle the argument.
“I think so,” Spence Jr said in an interview with Ray Flores. “I hope that can happen.”
After becoming the first man to stop Shawn Porter in November 2021, Crawford made it clear his feelings that he would love nothing more than being face to face with Spence Jr. next.

On April 16, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, both Ugas and Spence Jr will go head-to-head in a three-belt unification match. However, despite the upcoming game against Ugas, Spence Jr was bombarded with constant questions about Crawford.
While Spence Jr is bubbling over the possibility of adding Ugas’ black and gold belts to his ever-growing collection, their duel is more than just a chance to add another world title to the box. holds his title. More than anything, the win over Ugas, Spence Jr believes, will open the door to some of the biggest fights in the sport of boxing.
“Don’t look past Ugas at all. That is my main priority. That’s someone I have to consider because I have to beat him to get Terence Crawford or anyone else. I want to get the third belt and be undisputed so that’s my ultimate goal. I have to pass this test so I don’t look past Ugas at all. ”
