Eddie Hearn has high expectations for Taylor Vs. Serrano: “This is Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao for women’s boxing”

The moment it was initially announced that Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao would be officially over, the boxing world was boiling over as countless consumers began anxiously emptying their bank accounts to buy tickets.

For years, both Mayweather and Pacquiao were considered the best fighters in the sport of boxing. However, fans will constantly be fully hopeful about the possible outcome. While pent-up demand resulted in 4.6 million pay-per-view purchases, the fight itself sparked a bit disappointing from Eddie Hearn’s point of view.

Now, with Katie Taylor vs. With Amanda Serrano just hours away from New York’s Madison Square Garden, Hearn believes their upcoming clash bears some similarities to Mayweather and Pacquiao’s, though without the stench of what he only has. Maintenance is a bad war.

“This is a Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight for women’s boxing but at the right time,” Hearn said in an interview with FightHype.com. “That fight was massively distributed into the night. I left there to go, it was a bit of shit. You won’t leave MSG on Saturday feeling the same way. ”

Taylor, 35, has for years established herself as one of the greatest boxers in female boxing history. In addition to a spotless record through 20 professional matches, Taylor won an Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Olympics. For now, the Irish-born tennis player will try to defend her undisputed lightweight championship. when she faced Serrano, the only female fighter in the world’s seventh.

Considering that Hearn has been in Taylor’s corner from the start and admits he’s been watching and cheering for Serrano from afar, Hearn believes the hype surrounding this fight will suit it.
