Self-portraits and self-portraits — for most people — are undesirable. I’ve always preferred my role behind the camera to being in front. In fact, for a long time, I would avoid being in front of the camera if I could. Over the years, however, this has had to change in some areas and has been a useful, self-inflicted change in others.

For years, my dogs and cats were test subjects, but there was a point where that didn’t fit. So practicing the techniques for yourself is the best way.
