Set to debut at the German MotoGP in Saxony this weekend is the Ducati Powerstage RR Limited Edition (e-MTB) electric mountain bike with 230 units available to order. This enduro e-MTB comes with a carbon fiber frame and features a styling designed by renowned designer Aldo Drudi in collaboration with Centro Stile Ducati, inspired by the Desmosedici GP23 MotoGP racing motorcycle.
The Powerstage RR is designed to compete in the recently introduced special stage in e-enduro racing. The e-enduro special stage, in addition to the traditional technical downhill, also has a technical uphill road to test the skills and performance of the driver.
Cable routing on the carbon fiber frame is internal with T-Stopper bearings at the joints. The frame itself is the result of finite element analysis, adding rigidity to the steering head and rear chain, with reinforced engine mounts.
The engine itself is from Shimano, an EP801 drive unit with 250 Watts of rated power and 85 Nm of torque, with two driving modes – Long for long distances and Fast for maximum performance. The removable Shimano 630 Wh battery is placed inside the “vertical” exhaust to lower the center of gravity.
Ohlins front suspension with RXF38 m.2 air fork with 180 mm travel and adjustable bounce and compression at high and low speeds. Similarly, the rear end of Powerstage RR is supported by Ohlins m.2 single-spring shock absorbers with Ohlins TTX technology, for 170 mm of travel.
The electronic gearshift is from SRAM, with the 12-speed GX AXS wireless rear electronic grouping. Brakes A first-of-its-kind brake system with custom Ducati Corse levers and 3mm 203mm thick discs is installed for optimal braking performance downhill.
The Powerstage RR rolls on Crank Brothers wheels with asymmetrical dimensions of 29 inches up front and 27.5 inches behind. Pirelli Scorpion Enduro S is fitted on the front wheel and Pirelli Scorpion EMTB-S tires at the rear while a telescopic seat post, Renthal carbon handlebars and a Fizik saddle with a special integrated tool holder complete the kit. .
