Driver Kevin Gomez takes first win in comeback on January 14

Previously ridden to victory by Jaime Rodriguez, Late Night Larry is coached by Brittany Russell, with whom Gomez usually rides in the morning. She is married to racing champion Sheldon Russell.

“I haven’t seen him in the morning, but I watched the replays and Jaime Rodriguez told me a little bit about the horse and I was just trying to follow the instructions,” Gomez said. “It feels great, especially for Brittany. She’s a great coach and it’s great to win for people like that. She and Sheldon have helped me out a lot, so that’s been very rewarding. makes sense to me.”
