Square Enix has released a anniversary video featuring developers from past and upcoming games, with the likes of FFXIV Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida, FFVII remake project producer Yoshinori Kitase, and NieR series creator Yoko Taro appeared. Most of the messages are general well-wishes. Various members from the development teams also thanked viewers for their past support and asked for similar enthusiasm for upcoming games. As expected, Yoshida mentioned FFXIV and FFXVI. Meanwhile, Yoko Taro explains the true meaning of the word “happiness” in “Happy New Year”.
Everything started with Yoshida. He mentioned FFXIV A Realm Reborn 10th anniversary in 2023. He also reminds everyone FFXVI will be out in June 2023. At 4:49, Kitase appears to remind everyone FFVII reborn Coming. At 5:16, Yoko Taro appeared with NieR Series producer Yosuke Saito. After Saito reminded everyone about NieR Automata5th anniversary of and Switch Gate and card voice released, Yoko Taro explains why every new year is “happy”.
