Dragon Age: Inquisition mod gives Solas and Blackwall festive makeovers

Have you ever wanted to dress up two of the most repulsive things? Dragon Age: Inquisition companion as Christmas storks? Well, now you can! A modder created Christmas themed outfits for Blackwall and Solas, transforming them into Santa Claus and his little elf helper. That’s right, now you can literally dress up as a God and have great bad potential in future Dragon Age games as a cheerful red and green clad guy . That’s what he deserves.

First, this is Santa Blackwall, made by modder “Emma Vakarian-Theirin”. It’s almost just a flashback to his basic armor and hair, giving him snow-white locks and a bright red coat. But, is he really Santa Claus? Or a disgraced soldier posing as Santa who will abandon you later because his moral compass begins to spin out of control?

No one tells the Inquisitor that Blackwall is neither a Gray Warden nor a beloved Christmas character, you’ll make her cry.

Of course, no Santa is complete with a helper, and fortunately, Thedas is full of elves. And possibly elven gods as well. This is Elf Solas’ Santa Claus.

“After creating my Santa Blackwall mod, I thought, ‘He needs an elf helper, doesn’t he?’ And realized it would be funnier with things [Solas] in a sweater uglier than Sera,” said the mechanic. So here he is, having fun as always! ”

“I suspect you have questions.”

Admittedly, I quite like his sweater. Again, this is his casual wear but redesigned with festive motifs (which I actually quite like).

I am all for this. It would be great if we could also get Santa’s helper Sera – ooh, and an Iron Bull reindeer! I’ve found Dragon Age: Inquisition to be quite a Christmassy game, although I think maybe the first part was a lot of snow. It could also be due to most Dragon Age 4 the news we’ve received so far has come in December during previous Game Awards events, like last year Varric teases.

More recently, last week BioWare confirmed that the next Dragon Age would be a “single-player-focused experience”, and they released a few short stories to celebrate Dragon Age Day.
