I’m a firm believer that co-op makes approx any game is better (or at least… “memorable”), and for Skyrim fans looking to squeeze every last drop of the game’s hard to put down, there’s a new co-op mod in town. Skyrim Together Reborn lets you play Special Edition Skyrim (1.6) online with friends on Steam. Think RP potential!
After debuting on Friday on NexusMods and a worthwhile weekend catchphrase, Skyrim Together Reborn is approaching 100,000 downloads. The mod community has gone down this co-op route beforebut Reborn represents a new beginning, and everyone is participating in it.
“The code has been rewritten from scratch, as the old codebase is too messy to work with,” according to the mod’s creators. “This decision has paid off, as Skyrim Together Reborn is significantly better than the old Skyrim Together.”
Skyrim Together Reborn recommends two to eight players for “the best experience,” but there’s no hard limit “in theory.” It should also be emphasized again that you will need Special Edition Skyrim version 1.6 on Steam to use this mod – “VR, console, Legendary version (aka Oldrim), and the Game Pass version is not and will never be supported. “
