WWhile traveling by bus, Rajani Shetty saw a stray dog begging on the street. But instead of ignoring it, she got out of the car and fed the dog. Since that day, she has saved and fed hundreds of stray animals in Mangaluru.
Rajani works as a domestic helper and spends his time cooking for the animals every day. About 200 kg of rice and chicken are prepared to feed more than 800 stray animals in the city.
In addition to satisfying their hunger, she also rescues them from dangerous environments. Rajani bravely climbed down the well and through the drainage holes to save their lives.
Over a period of 15 years, she has rescued more than 2,000 animals.
“It just takes some food to make them love you unconditionally. Rajani said happiness when they see me is all I want in life.
