I am working with Canon USA to share this DIY photo glitter globe project. I’ve used Canon IVY Mini Printeris a small portable printer that you can use to print photos from your phone (using the Canon mini print app).
I love this little printer. It’s super easy to use and the prints are stickers! You can also use the app to add design elements like frames or stickers.
What is glitter ball? These are essentially mini snowballs, but the sparkles and colors I chose don’t give off a “winter” feel, so I feel they deserve a different name. You can add any photo to these — I chose a black and white photo of my son.
And these photo glitter globes are fun to make yourself or as a gift for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day (or a holiday).

You can customize these in many different ways! I created my color by adding a drop or two of food coloring, but you can also choose to leave the watercolor as it is and use a different colored glitter for a different look.
Munition:
Step one: Print your photo. Each photo globe has a front and back side, so it can have two pictures in each (or two of the same, if you like).
I used the black and white filter in the Canon mini print app to edit some of the photos I have on my phone and print them out Paper ZINK.
Step two: Peel and stick the photo onto the inner cardboard (supplied with the globe). Then you use scissors to trim them to fit the globes.
Third step: Fill in the globes. First, I added the glitter. Then I mix 1/2 to 3/4 cup water with a drop of food coloring and a full cap (probably about 1 teaspoon) of glycerin.
Glycerin helps keep glitter from clumping together.
These are really cute, IMO. I currently have a person sitting at a desk right next to the computer as I type this. The other two are for gifts for my mother and mother-in-law. Thanks for letting me share! so so. Emma
