Disney Reveals Marvel Cinematic Universe Update At D23 Expo

Hot on the heels of San Diego Comic Con in July, Disney will reveal more information about the flourishing Marvel Cinematic Universe during Expo D23 on Saturday.

Fans already know how Phase 4 of the MCU will end with “Black Panther Wakanda Forever” in November, but are looking for new footage and trailers for the Disney+ movies and TV shows. were announced, as well as new announcements about the director, cast, and future content.

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has teased that his team has plans for the next ten years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and plans to incorporate the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Deadpool into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel heroes have become famous.

Here’s a breakdown of what audiences can expect from Disney’s Marvel Studios in the years to come:

Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, kicked off the D23 Expo session with a performance of “I Can Do This All Day” from “Rogers: The Musical”, which appeared in the Disney+ series “Hawkeye”.

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’

Ryan Coogler, director of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” has taken footage of the film, which is slated to hit theaters on November 11. Clips show Queen Ramonda punishing the United Nations for having tried to steal vibranium from Wakanda after T’Challa’s death.

The trailer showcases the power of Dora Milaje and sets the stage for an epic battle against Namor and the Atlanteans.

“It is exhilarating when you walk out of the cinema feeling proud of what we have brought to you,” said Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri in the film.

‘Iron Man’

Audiences got a glimpse of Riri Williams in the “Wakanda Forever” scene, but Marvel also shared a glimpse of the Disney+ “Ironheart” series still in production. Clips show Riri crafting parts of the Ironheart armor, and Feige teased that the show would focus on magic and technology.

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’

Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Johnathan Majors appeared on stage to discuss the upcoming “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” the first movie in the MCU’s Phase 5.

“This thing is a banana,” Rudd said.

“This is going to be unlike anything you’ve seen from us and not to mention that guy,” he said, pointing to Majors, who plays Kang. “Throw this whole thing into such new territory.”

The footage shows the Lang family, Van Dyne, and Pym being dragged into the quantum realm and faced with a terrifying new enemy: Kang the Conqueror.

‘Night werewolf’

Gael Garcia Bernal and Laura Donnelly star in “Werewolf by Night,” the Marvel Studios special that’s coming to Disney+ in October.

The film, shot in all black and white, harks back to “The Twilight Zone” and old monster movies of the 30s and 40s. Footage originally shown at the D23 Expo shows the film following a group of workmen. Monster Hunter is looking for a monster among them.

‘Secret Invasion’

“Secret Invasion” is about a group of shapeshifting aliens known as the Skrulls, who have infiltrated all aspects of life on Earth. The Skrulls first appeared in 2018’s “Captain Marvel,” set in the 90s.

Don Cheadle has arrived to share footage from the upcoming Disney+ series filled with political intrigue and action. He also teased “Armor Wars,” a show that will begin shooting next year.

‘Loki’ and ‘Fantastic Four’

Feige brought in the cast of “Loki” to present a teaser trailer from the second season, which promises even more mischief.

He announced that Matt Shakman, director of “WandaVision,” will officially direct the MCU’s “Fantastic Four” feature film.

‘Echo’

“Echo,” a new Disney+ show centered around a deaf heroine, takes place after “Hawkeye” and makes heavy use of American Sign Language.

Footage from the series shows Vincent D’Onofrio’s return as the Pin King. Alaqua Cox plays the role as the title character.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’

D’Onofrio, who was on stage to promote “Echo,” joined Charlie Cox to share footage of Matthew Murdock aka Daredevil in “She-Hulk.” No scenes are shown from the show as it hasn’t started filming yet. D’Onofrio will appear in the series.

‘Captain America: New World Order’

Anthony Mackie returns as Captain America in “Captain America: New World Order.” He is joined on stage by Danny Ramiez, who plays Joaquin Torres, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley and Tim Blacke Nelson as Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader.

‘Thunderbolts’

Feige has announced the team will be part of “Thunderbolts.” This includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, David Harbor as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Task Master, Wyatt Russel as John Walker aka Flower Agent United States, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova and Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier.

“It tells you all you need to know about the Thunderbolts as the beloved Winter Soldier is at the top of the table among them,” Feige teased.

‘The Marvels’

Brie Larson, Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris closed the charts with footage from the upcoming film. Miss Marvel, Captain Monica Rambeau and Captain Marvel find that their powers have become intertwined and the three heroes must become disconnected from each other. At the same time, the three continued to accidentally swap positions, leading to quite a few funny situations.

The scenes shown at D23 Expo are very action-packed and full of humor. Also, everyone’s favorite Flerkin, Goose, will be back for more antics.
