Chronicles of DioField will be released on September 22, 2022 in Japan and abroad. After cconfirm last week’s newsSquare Enix and developer Lancarse released a launch date trailer for The DioField Chronicle. It shows a combination of gameplay and narrative footage. It also highlights the characters involved in the story.

Chronicles of DioField The launch date trailer highlights the game’s aesthetic. The game world blends magical fantasy with early-industrial elements. Soldiers wield spears, bows, swords and wear armor, but also fight with gun-style weapons and engage in combat aboard metal ships carrying cannons. Amidst the chaos of war, an elite, independent group of mercenaries named the Blue Fox emerges, whose deeds have gone down in legend.
Characters like Andreas Rhondarson, Fredret Lester, Iscarion Colchester, Waltaquin Redditch lead The Blue Fox. They are questioning their actions and making decisions about how to join the war that spans the land. Chronicles of DioField.
The special “diorama” style combat system is shown in Chronicles of DioField trailer release. Graphics in the game are rendered in the style of “tilt-shift”, a camera technique designed to make large objects look like miniature models. Battles will take place in real time, and players can assign units to move along predetermined points to hit the enemy.
The out-of-battle footage from the trailer also shows off a strategic scale map where players can move their forces across the map, much like the generals in the campaign.
Chronicles of DioField Released on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC on September 22, 2022. Japanese digital stores will hold a playable demo on August 10, 2022.
