“One of us is going to be eliminated,” WBC and online heavyweight challenger Dillian Whyte said of Saturday’s title bout against defending champion Tyson Fury. Whyte kept things low in the lead-up to the game, but in an interview with sports sky, The 28-2 boxer has made it clear he is ready to take on Fury 30-0-1 in the ring this weekend at London’s Wembley Stadium. “It feels great,” Whyte said. “I’m very calm and very relaxed at the moment, but let’s see what tomorrow brings.” With the likes of Fury, Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua dominating the felt ball scene in recent years, Whyte’s chance to rise to the top of heavyweight is far from imminent.

“It just went on for a long, frustrating, stressful time,” he admits. “It was… mixed feelings. For the moment, however, Whyte is trying to keep his mind on Saturday rather than on the long road to Wembley Stadium and a shot at the WBC and world championship. “I’m trying not to get locked into that,” he said. “I’ll show up and do my job.” And while Fury may be the main draw for audiences this weekend, Whyte has his own perspective on things.

“Tyson Fury is not a giant superstar as people say. He’s not.” It’s not like Whyte is downplaying Fury’s skill set. Whyte also doesn’t mind letting the huge crowds that will be in London on Saturday – about 90,000 people – distract him. “When you get into the ring, it doesn’t matter how many people there are,” he said. The ability to keep an eye on the prize pool is clearly what Whyte is interested in at the moment.

“I was just focused on fighting him (Fury) and having a clear mind, being able to adapt and get on with it,” Whyte said. “I worked hard. I went through hell to get here. ” Although talking and punching poses are so common in boxing today, Whyte has no interest in playing such games. ,” he said. “I’m going to go.” In fact, when asked to speak directly to Fury, Whyte chose top lane.

“Good luck and God bless you,” he told his opponent. “Give the fans a great show.”
