TMZ To be Report Light magnate Devin Haney was arrested early Thursday for having a semi-automatic gun in his car. Haney wasn’t driving the car when it was stopped by police, but the car was registered in his name. Each TMZ: “Law enforcement told us… no one owned this gun — and because the vehicle was registered to Haney, he was arrested and charged with concealed weapons possession. ” Suffice it to say, Haney has been released on $35,000 bail and is due to appear in court next month. Haney and his team had just left Catch LA when his car was stopped in Hollywood shortly after midnight.
With all that said, Haney isn’t known to be a boxer or to get himself into a lot of trouble. All in all, Haney has taken care of his business in the ring. The undefeated boxer fought for the last time in May, winning after a fight with the legendary Vasyl Lomachenko. Indeed, beyond Thursday’s arrest, Haney’s future looks pretty bright, with the likes of Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson being seen as potential rivals. Haney is currently the unified lightweight champion of the world. It is not yet known who his next opponent will be.
