Without the tape, the Chery looks wider than the Geely Boyue-based X70. The T7’s trunk has a volume of 475 liters and a maximum volume of 1,672 liters when the rear seats are folded.
The smaller Omoda 5 is a good internal reference as it’s quite popular these days. Compared to the B-segment SUV, the Tiggo 7 Pro is 113 mm longer, 32 mm wider and 108 mm taller – all of which are significant advantages. At the other end of the scale, the three-row Tiggo 8 Pro is 209 mm longer, although there isn’t much difference in width and height (the T7 is 2 mm wider and 9 mm shorter).
Compared to the Omoda 5 with its aggressive and low-slung design, the Tiggo 7 looks more like a regular SUV. The upright body features a sloping window line and a black D-pillar to the car rigidity “floating roof” effect. While not as wild as the front of the O5, the front of the T7 is quite bold with a large hexagonal grille containing diamond studs. The blue fins on the air intake are quite unique.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and audio comes from an eight-speaker Sony system, according to T8.
The cabin also features dual-zone climate control, a 50-watt Qi wireless charger, multi-colored ambient lighting, keyless entry with walk-in keyless entry, push-button start, and a driver’s seat. 6-way power adjustment and 4-way power passenger adjustment, faux leather seats, panoramic glass roof, 360-degree camera system and electric rear door.
In terms of decoration, the T7 is equipped with glossy faux carbon fiber instead of matte wood in the T8. This and the red brake calipers seem like unnecessary ‘sporty’ cues on an SUV that is anything but sporty to drive. Under the hood is a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 197 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. Drive is transmitted to the front wheels via a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. Acceleration time 0-100 km/h is 9.5 seconds and maximum speed is 205 km/h.
By the way, all but one variation of Proton X70 Comes with a 3-cylinder turbocharged engine, 1.5 liter capacity, 177 horsepower/255 Nm. The X70’s top-of-the-line 1.8-liter turbocharged engine has a capacity of 184 horsepower/300 Nm.
