Defender 2025 price: More luxurious, more powerful for off-roader

The defenderformerly known as the Land Rover Defender, has received a more powerful diesel engine and many specification changes for 2025.

First deliveries of the 2025 model will begin in September 2024.

New one D350 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-six manufacture 258kW power and 700Nm of torque, an increase of 37kW and 50Nm on the D300 engine it replaces.

There’s a new Sedona version of the Defender 110, with a Sedona Red paint job – first seen on the 130 – inspired by the Arizona city it’s named after. It will be offered in one model year.

This includes black badging, skid plates and grille, along with 22-inch Gloss Black alloy wheels.

There’s also a body-color spare tire cover, with an optional bonnet decal depicting the Sedona’s terrain, along with an optional body-color side-mounted transmission. You can also add steps and wheel arches in Gloss Black.

Speaking of options, there are many new packages for 2025.

The Captain Chairs package for the Defender 130 offers a pair of separate heated and ventilated seats in the second row with armrests and winged headrests. Cupholders are located on a raised area behind the front center console.

The signature interior package is optional on X-Dynamic HSE models on all body styles and is standard on all X and V8 variants.

It offers 14-way power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation and memory, along with winged headrests. The second row of seats also features heating and ventilation, and in the 110 and 130 models there are winged headrests.

Defender 130 models with this package are also equipped with third-row seat heating.

You can choose this package with Windsor and Kvadrat leather upholstery in Ebony or Caraway/Ebony or Ultrafabrics upholstery in Light Cloud/Lunar.

There are also “softer accents” throughout the cabin, a metallic gray powder coat finish for the “exposed beams” in the cabin, suede headliner, Satin black and chrome interior accents , along with new center console side pockets for sturdy storage of smaller items.

In addition to the D300-badged Defenders to make way for the more powerful D350 models, some of the more affordable off-road versions offered for the 2024 model year have been dropped.

That includes the P300 S and P400 X-Dynamic SE versions of the Defender 90 and the entry-level P300 S version of the Defender 110.

However, the British brand has reduced prices for many different models, including the Defender 90 D250 S.

JLR products are known for their dizzying options lists, but the company says it has simplified many of the Defender’s available options packages.

The Family Convenience Package (110 only) includes the same features, plus heated third-row seats and three-zone climate control with rear cooling assist.
