David Benavidez stops Kyrone Davis; Jose Benavidez vs Francisco Emanuel Torres to draw

Super middleweight hitter David Benavidez is expected to face Jose Uzcategui this weekend at Phoenix’ Footprint Center. However, Uzcategui tested positive for the banned substance, recombinant erythropoietin, and was subsequently removed from the fight. Instead, undefeated 24-0 Benavidez, a two-time WBC super middleweight belt holder, played Kyrone Davis 16-2-1 at Footprint Center in the scheduled 10th round of super middleweight.

An extremely determined Torres considered the eighth finish. It was a pretty close fight. Benavidez may have won his ninth, but he struggled to keep Torres. Torres may not have done enough to get the tenth and final round. Needless to say, the referees ruled the match a draw.

It’s time for the main event.

Davis kept his distance for the first time while Benavidez pursued his men. Davis got away for the second, but Benavidez handled the body. Towards the end of the half, Benavidez dashed into a Davis free-kick in the corner. Benavidez was able to land freely in the third round. Davis did a great job in the fourth season, almost the best he got. By the fifth round, it looked like Benavidez was simply too big for his determined opponent. Davis is brave and plays the game, but he looks like he’s losing the game. However, the duel was nothing if not an interesting love affair.

Between rounds, Davis’s coach threatened to stop the fight if the boxer didn’t show some progress in the next chapter. Benavidez overcame Davis in the sixth… and even so, Davis kept fighting. However, at the end of the round, Benavidez was simply defeated. Davis was unable to escape Benavidez’s punches, nor was he able to fight back effectively in the seventh round. Luckily, Davis’ corner threw the towel in, stopping the fight before their men took further damage.
