Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam banned traffic for the whole weekend, from 6:30 p.m. today to 6:00 a.m. Monday
Residents of Shah Alam, take note. There will be a closed road in downtown Shah Alam for the whole weekend. Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam along Jalan Persiaran Bandar Raya will be closed to traffic from 6:30 p.m. tonight and will remain so until 6 a.m. Monday.
This road closure is for Karnival Arus Merah Kuning and Jelajah Madani event and its preparation.
This is separate from previously announced road closures on Sundays for the PKNS Selangor International Race cycling event. That affects Persiaran Tasik, Persiaran Masjid, Persiaran Kayangan, Persiaran Hishamuddin, Persiaran Sukan, Persiaran Raja Muda, Persiaran Dato’ Menteri, Persiaran Bestari, Persiaran Serai Wangi, Jalan Kristal 7/64 and Jalan Pegaga U12/9. The aforementioned roads will be closed in phases from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 25.
In addition, Jalan Indah Road in Seksyen 14 will be completely closed to traffic from midnight Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday. A lot is going on in Shah Alam this weekend, so unless you’re there for events, it’s best to stay away.
