‘Damn, I’m a painful loser’: Bills’ Micah Hyde reflects on fiery exchange with reporters after loss to Patriots
Bill Safety Micah Hyde reflected on a heated post-game exchange with a reporter following the 14-10 loss to the Patriots on Monday night.
As both Hyde and safety Jordan Poyer answered questions during the post-game press conference, WIVB reporter Jerry Sullivan sparked a heated response. Hyde addressed the fiery comments he made on Wednesday and said he feels frustrated with another loss. He also explained that he feels everyone in the dressing room should feel like a “painful loser.”
“This even goes back to post-game content,” Hyde told reporters, via video by News4Buffalo’s Heather Prusak. “Damn it, I’m a huge loser. Show me a painful loser and I’ll show you a winner. We want to win. Everyone in this dressing room must be a damn loser.”

During the press conference, Sullivan asked Hyde and Poyer if they felt embarrassed about losing to a team that only tried to pass the ball three times. When both Poyer and Hyde appeared confused by the question, Hyde replied, “What are we doing?” Poyer continued to respond by saying that the Patriots had “good backing,” but then explained that he wasn’t sure how to answer the question.
“That’s funny, we’ll remember that,” Hyde said after Poyer tried to answer the question.

“It’s all out of respect,” Hyde told Sullivan as he rose to leave the podium. “I come here every week and I answer your questions and honestly, I appreciate you guys. Don’t do that, don’t do that.”
The Bills (7-5) have failed to pull off consecutive wins since they ended a four-game winning streak with a 34-31 defeat to the Titans on October 18. Their most recent loss to the Patriots also had to be. bargain. Get a chance to be the leaders in AFC East. The Bills are expected to face the Buccaneers this Sunday. Both Hyde and Poyer will have another crack at the Patriots on December 26.
