Damar Hamlin spoke up after being hospitalized.
The Buffalo Bills’ safety took to Instagram to share his first public statement since suffering cardiac arrest on the field during an NFL game earlier this week.
“When you bring true love into the world, it gives you 3 times more…”, Hamlin wrote on January 7. “Love is overwhelming, but I am so grateful to everyone. prayed for me and touched out.”
During treatment, Hamlin noted that he is confident in his health future.
“We brought the world back together behind this,” he continued. “If you know me, you know this just makes me stronger. On a long road, keep praying for me!”
Hamlin also took to his IG Story on January 7 to share a snap of himself during a video call, showing him grinning from ear to ear. He stitched the screenshot with the words, “Smiling back to work!!!”
