After the introduction of Rahmah menu on the highway PLUS R&Rs, affordable meals have reached the Karak Highway rest area and Lebuhraya Pantai Timur 1 (LPT1). That’s right, lunch and dinner are worth RM5 when you make the journey east and back.
The participating Karak/LPT1 R&Rs are in Genting Sempah, Temerloh, Gambang and KM21 layby. Selected stalls at these rest areas will offer RM5 worth of meals from 12pm to 2pm for lunch and from 6pm to 8pm for dinner. As for what’s served, it’s not as specific as PLUS, but five dollars will buy you a plate of rice with chicken or fish, along with vegetables. What more could you ask for, right?
Earlier this week, PLUS launched Menu Rahmah . initiative. The first phase was rolled out February 23 in downtown R&Rs, and the North-South Expressway franchisee is targeting more than 100 participating stores on the 1,130-kilometer highway network by mid-March.
The second phase, which includes R&R in the northern region, is expected to be launched by March 2. The third phase, to be launched by March 9, will include stopovers. in the southern region as well as on Lebuhraya Pantai Timur 2.
