COVID: Spain relaxes entry rules for Britons ahead of summer break | Travel news



Unvaccinated Britons planning a summer holiday in Spain will be able to enter the country more easily as the government is easing COVID restrictions.

Health requirements for visitors from the UK and elsewhere outside the EU will now match those from within the Schengen area.

Visitors will need to show COVID a certificate of vaccination, a negative PCR test, or a certificate that they have recovered from the coronavirus within the last 180 days.

Children under 12 are exempt from having to present any certificates.

Spain’s Tourism Minister Reyes Maroto said: “This is great news, much anticipated by the tourism industry, making it easier for visitors from outside the EU to ensure a safe journey. during peak season.”

It according to the Spanish tourist board in London quickly reverse the decision to open the country for unvaccinated British travelers returning in April.
