Past and present collide in the story of David vs. This goliath when a mining company threatens to demolish the rural home of AKISA MUTUNGA, an aspiring event organizer who is pitted against a deadly businesswoman, with whom she is entangled in a husband. Akisa finds herself in the midst of a love triangle, as she struggles to regain her place in life by finding her true love and her lost son.
Issues of land expropriation and exploitation form the tapestry on which the personal lives and fractured relationships of Country Queen’s protagonists unfold. The battle for land becomes a battle for truth and truth. The characters must face the consequences of their own choices. The fictional story contains elements of truth that address issues such as family disputes, ownership and land exploitation that affect millions of people in Africa and around the world.
