A puppy no more than six months old was found shivering and alone, tied to a large oak tree in the park. As soon as Dev Naz received the notification, he personally ran over to assess the situation. The thin rope cut deep into his neck, restricting all movement. It was inconceivable how one could be so mercilessly careless.

When Dev freed the puppy from the leash, he worried that it might become paralyzed. It didn’t move at all! Dev tries to move its legs but realizes something is wrong. Not sure if the puppy was going through a tantrum – a common and contagious disease – Dev put on gloves and cautiously picked him up.

The puppy was placed on the back of a truck for closer inspection. His leg has no feeling and it is not known what happened to him.
At first, Dev speculated. He said the puppy may have been hit hard in the back. But when he lifted the puppy up a bit, he finally realized something unthinkable – the puppy had small wounds all over his body! A monster shot him with a pellet gun!

Dev Naz comes up with a plan. He brought the puppy back to his house. The next step would be to notify the vet that this little one needs surgery.
Due to their place in the world and severe capital shortage, this will not be easy. Surgery is very expensive! Thankfully, Dev is trained to do many things on his own. He can treat puppies for pain and infections. Through donations, Dev hopes to schedule surgery on the puppy to remove all the pellets as soon as possible.

The next day, the puppy saw the vet, who discovered that he couldn’t feel his hind legs. The vet decided that he needed a diagnostic scan to make a treatment plan. Although the dog is in a strange place, surrounded by people, he is still a good boy! The scans showed pellets all over his tiny body.

The vet and Dev agreed that the puppy would need surgery to remove the pills without further damaging the nerves. If all goes well, she might be able to walk again, but there’s no guarantee.
