Credit to fightHub for consistently giving some great interviews, such as the short interview posted online today with celebrity trainer Robert Garcia. When asked who he would like to meet the undisputed super-middleweight champion – and guaranteed future Hall of Fame – Canelo Alvarez fight next, Garcia responded immediately. . “I love him for fighting (David) Benavidez,” he said. “I enjoyed watching him fight Benavidez. People might say Charlo, the rematch with Bivol, or Zurdo Ramirez. Benavidez is the fight I would love to see him fight. Garcia – who was once a world player – went on to say something that might surprise fighting fans.

“I think Benavidez can really beat Canelo,” he said, adding that “it’s going to be a great match.” While many would agree that Canelo-Benavidez was a great match to make, it’s also worth wondering how many people who watched the match closely would agree with Garcia that Benavidez will really get over the sadness in the summer. this point in his career. None of that will matter to Canelo himself. As discussed in the interview, Canelo has stated that he no longer wants to face his Mexican compatriots in the boxing ring.

“Canelo at this point, he decides,” Garcia said. “He is a dairy cow. He’s a money-hungry guy, someone everyone wants to fight for so he can choose (whoever he wants to fight for)…I don’t blame him either. He can do what he wants.” However, Garcia reiterated the fact that he would like to see Canelo and Benavidez move on. “Hopefully one day he (Canelo) will give it to us, ‘ he said. ‘There are a lot of fights out there for him and he’s still a big competitor. He still has all the money in the world.’

Garcia went on to point out that he wouldn’t be surprised if Canelo win a rematch against Dmitry Bivol, the lightweight boxer that Canelo lost last year, if the two meet again in the ring. “I think in a rematch, if he’s one hundred percent,” Garcia added, “he could do much better, maybe even succeed.” At the moment, Canelo is focusing on playing John Ryder in his return to his native Mexico this May. As for Benavidez, he’s certainly still enjoying his brilliant win over fellow super-middleweight Caleb Plant, whom he beat a few weeks ago in a pay-per-view main event.
