Chrysler shows off 300 successors to dealers – report

Buddhist monk chrysler 300 production will soon be discontinued, but a replacement appears to be in the works.

Inside Mopar reports that a 300 successor was previewed to dealers at a meeting in Las Vegas last month, and it resembles a car depicted in a wireframe in 2021.

Instead of the blocky style of go 300, the new car has a more beautiful five-door liftback body style. The existing Dodge Charger and Challenger replacement models will also offer this body format, alongside a two-door coupe.

like Next Generation DodgesThe 300 replacement is expected to use the STLA Large architecture.

These platforms will support electric motors producing between 125kW and 330kW, creating the compelling potential of the twin-engine 660kW all-wheel drive powertrain.

The STLA Large vehicle will also be able to support battery capacities from 101-118 kWh, facilitating a maximum operating range of up to 800 km.

this platform will also support internal combustion engines same as the new Hurricane family of six inline engines, although to date no STLA Large vehicles have been confirmed to use these engines.

The brand plans to go electric-only by 2027 and prepares to receive a new product in the form of a production version of the Airflow cross conceptis supposed to launch in 2024 as the 2025 model.

Chrysler claims the concept has a range of 560 km to 645 km.

After a few decades of becoming an almost full-fledged brand, Chrysler now sells only two models. One of them is the 300, which will be discontinued in 2024, while the other is a Pacifica passenger van.

Its global footprint has shrunk, with Chrysler having left Europe and left Australia last year. And with a smaller lineup, U.S. sales have fallen from nearly 650,000 vehicles in 2005 to just 112,713 in 2022.

Oddly enough, Chrysler has bucked the global trend toward SUVs. It has only ever offered two: the 2004-08 Pacifica crossover and the short-lived 2007-09 Aspen body-on-frame.

While the 300 successor’s sleek styling is a significant change from the 2005-2010 and 2011-present 300 generations, the Chrysler brand is no stranger to sleek full-size sedans.

The 2005 300 was a replacement for the unruly front-wheel drive 300M, also sold with the well-rounded Concorde and LHS.

Chrysler also offered the Cirrus midsize sedan, which was later replaced by the Sebring (sold here from 2007 to 2009) and then 200.
