The official launch in Malaysia is the 2023 WMoto XDV250 from distributor MForce Bike Holdings, priced at RM18,888 for the base model, while the “Project X” variant is priced at RM21,888. The XDV250 is available in red and blue and has an adventurous look, similar to the XDV250 WMoto XDV150 priced at RM9,588, which is very popular with Malaysian scooter riders.

The XDV250’s power comes from a single-cylinder, four-valve, liquid-cooled, Euro 4 compliant, EFI-powered engine with a displacement of 249 cc. The claimed power figure is 24hp with 23Nm of torque at 6,750rpm with power sent to the rear wheels via a CVT gearbox and belt drive.

Braking is done with single hydraulic discs front and rear, clamped by J Juan brake calipers while dual-channel ABS is standard equipment. Suspension comes from KYB, with upside-down front forks and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers.

Driving conveniences include keyless entry and adjustable steering, along with a digital LCD gauge. Inside the dashboard, indicators include monitoring of tire pressure, engine temperature and ambient temperature, while all switches on the steering wheel are backlit.

The windshield on the XDV250 can be manually adjusted to one of three positions while the 26-litre storage compartment is found under the seats. There’s an additional storage compartment inside the front shield that houses USB charging, and an additional 12-volt power outlet is found on the left side of the panel.

LED lighting system is used throughout on the XDV250, with auxiliary fog lights as standard equipment. The XDV250 weighs in at 159 kg with a fuel tank of 13.2 liters while the seat height is set at 800 mm.
