The leading edge in Stellantis’ electric vehicle push comes from a brand that has appeared on the brink of retirement – Chrysler. With EV . airflow concept shown earlier this week, two company executives told GCR Why Airflow marks both the company’s leadership advantage and reestablishes the brand to be known as “an icon in American car history”.
With the acceleration plan announced at CES earlier this week, Vietnam’s VinFast is now revealed a whole family of electric crossovers, began taking US reservations for two of them and announced its intention to open factories in both the US and Germany.
Goodyear presented a prototype tires made of 70% sustainable materials. Although the design looks rather ordinary, the ingredient list is odd, including soot created by separating natural gas (which produces hydrogen gas), along with soybean oil, rice husks and cloth from plastic bottles. It’s a bridge to Goodyear’s goal of having tires made of 100% sustainable materials by 2030.
And in addition to GM unveiling the Chevy Silverado EV and unveiling a $30,000 Equinox EV this week, Cadillac unveiled a long-distance self-driving concept called Halo InnerSpace—An addition to the drone and urban shuttle was shown last year.
