Chris Cuomo says he’s hurt and embarrassed about being suspended indefinitely as CNN’s main host.
A day after the cable news network moved away from its top-rated presenter, Cuomo addressed the matter Wednesday on his SiriusXM Satellite Radio show, Let’s start after it.
“A quick take on the obvious – I’ve been suspended by CNN,” he told the audience.
“You know this. Even saying it hurts. It’s embarrassing, but I get it. And I understand why some people feel that way,” Cuomo said.
CNN announced Cuomo’s suspension on Tuesday after new revelations detailed his efforts to help his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, deal with a scandal. ongoing sexual harassment.
A series of documents, emails and text messages released by the New York Attorney General’s office show that the miner used his contacts to find out the governor’s accusers. “I have apologized in the past,” Cuomo added.
CNN said Cuomo will not broadcast indefinitely, pending a review.
