Australian Chery has quietly increased the price from $100-$1000 on omoda 5 range as it moves to nationwide drive-in pricing as of June 1.
A spokesperson for Chery Australia said: “Following launch, we adjusted our pricing and moved to a nationwide door-to-door pricing pricing for June.” auto expert.
No change to the vehicle coincides with a change in price.
The spokesperson did not confirm whether these rates, or uniform nationwide rates in general, would continue beyond June 30.
When omoda 5 went on sale earlier this year in Australia, prices vary depending on interstate transportation costs.
Customers from Victoria pay the highest driving rates while customers from ACT are offered the cheapest driving rates.
Basic BX is currently $32,990 drive awayincreased $300 for buyers in Victoria, $600 for buyers in Tasmania and Western Australia, $700 for South Australia, $800 for New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory, and $1000 for the Australian Capital Territory.
EX now has a price $35,990 drive awayup $100 from previous prices in Victoria, $300 in WA, $400 in Tasmania, $500 in NSW, QLD and SA, $600 in NT and $800 in ACT.
Chery will expand the Omoda 5 range later this year with a pair of more powerful engine variants, one of which will offer all-wheel drive.
The EX+ and EX+ AWD will pack a 1.6-liter four-cylinder making 145 hp and 290 Nm of torque, an increase of 30 hp and 60 Nm on the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. at BX and EX.
They will also swap the torsion beam rear suspension for a multi-link setup and ditch the continuously variable transmission for a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Omoda 5 electric cars
It will have a 61 kWh battery, with an announced range of 450 km based on the WLTP cycle.

Chery has sold 1009 Omoda 5 units since its launch earlier this year. It sold out more Honda HR-WORLD (795), jeep compass (648), Renault Arkana (575) and Skoda Kamiq (784) to date in 2023.
However, Omoda 5 was sold out by GWM Haval Jolion (4458) and MGZS (9823).
