Chambers in TriBeCa and More NYC Restaurants Opening


Later this year, Melba Wilson, Harlem’s chef and restaurateur, will be serving many of her specialties at Wollman Rink in Central Park. Her restaurant in Overlook, the second floor of the rink’s food franchise, is run by the Bronx-based catering company. Great performance. Last winter, Ms. Wilson had a few dishes like jerk chicken in the Wollman Cafe. Now, she offers a full menu of crispy fish strips with chipotle sauce, one chicken and waffle, two types of fries, one macaroni and cheese with three cheeses, and avocado ice cream brownies and egg bread. Drinks include Harlem Sweet Tea and tea blends, and Lowcountry Lemonade spikes with Maker’s Mark for a Melba’s Palmer. (Sunday)

This Williamsburg, Brooklyn-based brewery, and especially women-owned, is opening a second boardroom. The new space is bright and airy with a skylight and features a bar full of wines, ciders and spirits in addition to the company’s private labels on draft. Biteable foods such as olives, cheeses and cold cuts. (Thursday)

ThinkFoodGroup, Mr. Andrés’ company, will open one of his Bazaar restaurants at the Old Post Office in Washington, DC, the 1899 building that became the city’s general post office in 1914. It was recently opened. converted into a Trump Hotel, then took over Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with CGI Merchant Group. Bazaar restaurants, Spanish themed but not strictly Spanish, are found in Las Vegas, Miami Beach, Chicago and, soon, at The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad. (Mr. Andrés has operations in Washington.) The restaurant will open later this year in the BLT Prime space.
