CD Projekt Red Introduces Witcher 3’s Free Netflix DLC Update, Launching Dec. 14
In case you missed it, CD Projekt Red’s award-winning arcade game witch 3 will receive the “next generation” update on December 14.
As part of this, there will also be some Witcher Netflix DLC added to the game – even on Nintendo Switch. In a new live stream, CDPR has now briefly outlined what players can expect. Instead of just handing over new themed gear and items to players, there will actually be a ‘DLC’ quest for all of this.
“We were just thinking if we were going to give all those new armors, swords, items that we just wanted to make part of the game, and of course if it was a great piece of armor. great, like the other armors in the game, yes. must be some task or content connected to it. So we tried to do a quest to make it part of the game.”
The team even brought back Geralt’s voice actors (including Doug Cockle) to voice and record some lines for this new DLC update.
So what can you expect from this DLC? Looks like there will be Geralt Season 1 & 2 armor and swords from the Netflix show, replacement skins for Dandelion, and Nilfgaardian armor based on the show’s outfits.
“We have a very special offer for all fans of the Netflix show! Enjoy alternate looks for Dandelion and Nilfgaardian soldiers, as well as a new, chapter-inspired quest program, where you’ll be able to get a schematic for Geralt’s new gear. What’s the mission? Shh! No reveal!”
There will also be new cross-progress options added to allow players to save and play between multiple platforms. Keep in mind, an update in 2020 gives players the ability to save on PC and Switch.
“A feature you know from Cyberpunk 2077 — play the game the way you like it, wherever you like it, and transfer your latest saves between platforms.”
