“I say what I want. I have never been shy. Cardi B is clapping and sharing her opinion about the backlash she received after making the top 20 for Rolling Stone’s 200 best albums list. Cardi’s debut album ‘Invasion Of Privacy. ‘ ranked at number 16 ahead of Tupac, Kanye West, Nas, Missy Elliott and others. People felt that the album was placed too high on the list.
On a recent episode of Angela Yee’s ‘Lip Service’, Cardi agreed that she was even shocked when she was placed in front of Nas, saying, “How dare they put Cardi in front of Nas.” The rapper also said she felt the list was a setup. “Yes, like an arrangement. Rolling Stone, you’re trying to trap me,” Cardi said. “You were drawn to me on a goddamn Tuesday for no reason.”
Cardi has a lot to say and is honest about negative comments.
She continued, “You know, I understand that everyone feels a certain way. But don’t try to belittle me, my work, or my album because your mother is listening to my piano and you are driving, listening to fu *** ng ‘Be careful.’ All y’all bi***, all y’all h**s. So it’s like, don’t even try it. The roommates were silent in the comments following Cardi’s response.
A few acknowledge that each song on the album is certified platinum or higher. One person wrote, “This is the first album in history to have every song go platinum. Honestly, it has to be taller than 16″. According to Billboard, Cardi is the first female to achieve such a high score.
As we previously reported, in March 2021, Cardi reflected on how ‘Bodak Yellow’ became her first diamond-certified single. She used Instagram, reminding people of “How it started versus how it went.”
