Canoodling, Necessary Betting Get Bets at Santa Anita
Jockey Roimes Chirinos, who often rides in New Mexico, took his first win at Santa Anita . Park board Canoodling in Megahertz Stakes (G3T) January 29 at a mile on the pitch. He and Canoodling partner regularly at the New Mexico racetracks, and they surprised an older pitch with a 22-1 scoreline.

Canoodling began his career in Southern California with coach Jeff Mullins. Racing in Texas and New Mexico with coach Todd Fincher, Canoodling won the 2021 Albuquerque Distaff Handicap and the Zia Park Distaff Stakes.
“They sent her here because her résumé is clearly quite complete without a single portion of contributions classified,” said Puype. “They don’t have a classified stock there” for New Mexico dishes.
Owens bought Canoodling for $180,000 from Stonehaven Steadings at the 2019 Sale in Keeneland.
Puype said: “The wallet today is just pennies compared to what she would have won when she won a graded bet.
Stonehaven Steadings raised his 4-year-old daughter Pioneers of the Nile in Kentucky. Cannodling is out Harlan’s Holiday mare Miz Kella , a full sister to champion 2 years old Bobby Shanghai .

Required stake in Palos Verdes
A half hour after Megahertz, it was more business as usual at the Palos Verdes Stakes (G3) for older athletes with six shoes.
